Still, he knew there was a better way people could be helped. After a series of personal events, a door of opportunity opened for him to become the Youth Minister for Davis Park Christian Church in 2006. During that time, he was also building and refurbishing cabinets and furniture with his father-in-law at Don's Custom Carpentry. About 11 years ago, the Lord opened an opportunity with Hope Outreach Ministries that just seemed to keep knocking on Matt’s heart. After much prayer, the Lord made a perfect path for Matt to take the position of CEO of Hope Outreach Ministries. Since moving to Enid, Matt has become very involved in the community. He is an active member of his church (Oakwood Christian Church), Board Member of the Cherokee Strip Community Foundation, Board Member of CDSA, President of Enid Noon AMBUCS, member of Enid Rotary Club, member of Enid Community Collaborative, member of Elderly Abuse Council, Treasurer of the Enid Ministerial Alliance, and the immediate Past-President of Leadership Greater Enid.
