Haley Hibbets took 5th place at the 6-A State Tennis match. Congratulations Haley on all of your hard work.
EHS Boys Track State Qualifiers were celebrated at the board meeting. It included Bradley Beierschmitt, Chase Cotarelo, Julius Mitchell, Carson Nault, and Baron Reed.
Young men from the Golf team were recognized for qualifying for State. They are Mason Haley, Landon Jung, Austin Kalow and David Shepherd. (not pictured Dawson Branstetter).
The Enid High JROTC was recognize for their outstanding performance at Nationals where they placed 5th!
The Enid High School Vocal Music Concert Choir was recognized for their OSSAA Academic Achievement Award and OSSAA Outstanding Achievement Award for their performance at contest this spring.
Liam Franklin represented EHS as the secondary spotlight student.

EHS Graduation Moved Due to Inclement Weather
Enid High School’s commencement ceremony for the Class of 2024 will now be held at the Chisholm Trail Expo Center at 7:30 p.m. on May 16 due to the prediction of inclement weather.
The Chisholm Trail Expo Center is located at 111 W. Purdue Ave, Enid, 73701.
The ceremony will be livestreamed on Enid Public School’s YouTube page and on the EPS*tv Facebook page.

If your student is going into Kindergarten and NOT enrolled at EPS, enrollment opens May 6 at www.enidpublicschools.org/enrollment.
If you do not have access to internet or a device please make an appointment with our Welcome Center at www.enidpublicschools.org/appointments.
Please have copies of your child’s birth certificate (no hospital footprints, please), immunizations records, and verification of address - utility bill, water bill, etc.
Students must be 5 years old by September 1, 2024 to enroll.
EPS Names New Elementary Principals
Enid Public Schools is pleased to announce Sarah Owens and Mary Withey as the Glenwood Elementary and Prairie View Elementary principals, respectively.
Their duties will begin on July 1, 2024.
Owens joined the EPS team in 2013 as an elementary teacher. She went on to serve the district as an Instructional Coach and has been the assistant principal at Coolidge Elementary since 2021. Withey began her career in public education in 2013 as a special education teacher in San Antonio, Texas. She came to EPS is 2021 as an Enid High School special education teacher and, beginning in 2022, has served as the Glenwood/Prairie View assistant principal as well as an EHS assistant principal.
“I am very excited to have both Sarah and Mary joining the elementary team as head principals,” said Randy Rader, Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education. “Both Sarah and Mary have served as assistant principals at the elementary level and have proven themselves as strong leaders. They both bring with them a strong knowledge of the curriculum, a great work ethic, and the ability to build relationships with students, teachers, and the community. I look forward to watching them continue to grow in these positions.”
Owens earned her bachelor degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in elementary education in 2013 and received her masters of science in education leadership from NWOSU in 2016. She holds certifications in elementary education, elementary principal and secondary principal.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the Glenwood community in my new position,” said Owens. “I would like to thank Dr. Darrow, Mr. Rader, and the Enid Public Schools Board of Education for the chance to be a part of this school and to support the students and families of such an amazing community. I look forward to building relationships with Glenwood's staff, students, and families.”
Withey received her bachelors of art from Louisiana Tech University in 2003 and later earned her master of art in teaching from Kaplan University in 2013 and her master of education in education leadership from the American College of Education. Withey holds certification in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Mild-Mod Disabilities, Severe-Profound/Multiple Disabilities, Elementary Principal, and Secondary Principal.
“I am honored and humbled to have the opportunity to serve as the new Elementary Principal at Prairie View,” said Withey. “Enid Public Schools has been a fulfilling and rewarding district to work for and I am confident that, together, we will continue to provide a transformative educational experience for our students.”
Owens succeeds James Rainey as the principal of Glenwood Elementary and Withey succeeds Sherri Hendrie as the principal of Prairie View Elementary.

Leyton Lea, and Bostyn Shepherd were recognized as winners of the Oklahoma Poem Contest 2024. They are fourth graders at Prairie View Elementary.
Kaidence Spurrier was one of 240 students to attend the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute at Quartz Mountain for Film and video productions. She receives a full scholarship to attend that two week summer camp.
The board was happy to recognize three EHS seniors that have decided to major in education in college in the fall. Shelby DuPree will be attending UCO, Rhyan Rader and Ayden Rogers will be attending NWOSU.
Ariel Armas, EHS senior, shared his family story and the fact that he is headed to Georgetown University in the fall after applying to 60 universities. We are so proud of Ariel and the fact that he is making his dream a reality!!
Four Enid High School Seniors were recognized for being the Allen Family Scholarship Recipients. These students will be the first generation in their family to attend college. Students are Ashely Pacheco Arriaga, Brandon Alcaraz, Nerissa Castellanos, and Ariel Armas.
The board recognized EHS speech and debate students for their state achievements and being named the Outstanding Chapter for Western Oklahoma. Mrs. Linda Outhier is the speech and debate teacher.
Amarianna Solomon represented Longfellow Middle School as the secondary spotlight student.
